A figure is useful only when its definition, source and limits are clear.
Definitions before positions.
Analytics uses fixed comparisons with one definition per figure. Compare people within their own field and career stage, and departments with the same department elsewhere.
Department membership starts with official department directories. Every fact keeps the source it came from. AI research agents collect information and code checks every answer.
Missing is not zero.
A missing citation figure means information is missing. It does not mean the academic has no citations. The same principle applies throughout the database. The Coverage tab shows how complete the data is by department, university and discipline.

About 1,730 tenured or tenure-line faculty with citation data. About 26,600 journals and other publication venues.
Fields: political science, economics, English, chemistry, biology, psychology, philosophy, computer science, sociology, history.

Citations need judgment.
Citation figures differ by field. Career stage also changes the context of a comparison. A position describes a particular comparison; it is not a complete assessment of a person’s work.
Trackademia must never be the sole basis of a personnel decision.
Read the underlying evidence and use the comparison alongside informed academic judgment.
Access and private data.
The product sits behind sign-in. Every account is approved individually.
For My Institution, a university supplies faculty CVs privately. Trackademia extracts appointments, degrees, honors and publications with supporting CV passages. Each institution sees only its own data, enforced by the database.
This marketing site
This site uses no trackers, analytics or cookies. It has no form collecting personal information. Fonts and images are served locally. Request access and Sign in take you to the separate application.
Institutional data is handled under a written agreement, settled before any CVs are shared.
